Saturday Night Live are at it again and this week have added a hilarious addition to their long list of send ups as they skewered newly crowned prince of indie, Bon Iver, during a skit about Beyonce and Jay-Z’s new baby, Blue Ivy Carter.
The skit centers on the premise that a handful of celebrities have dropped by to visit the super-couple and say hello to their new baby. Justin Timberlake makes an appearance in the skit, although not as himself. Instead he does a spot on and downright hilarious impersonation of Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon.
“I was just wandering barefoot in the woods of Wisconsin, and fashioned this guitar out of a canoe,” Timberlake says as he enters the skit to meet the new parents. Even Vernon himself was impressed with the impersonation, jumping on Twitter shortly after and writing:
