Itching for a taste of the Red Hot Chili Peppers live ever since the release of their latest studio album I’m With You?

Well no Australian tour dates have been announced as of yet but as the Anthony Kiedis fronted rock band continue to gig across the world as part of their world tour they haven’t forgotten fans who are yet to catch a glimpse of them live.

The band have released an EP of tracks from their latest tour through out Europe, handpicked by drummer Chad Smith, and available to download for free for the Chili Peppers official website.

This week the band embarked on the North American leg of their I’m With You world tour, delayed after Kiedis sustained multiple foot injuries requring surgery to remove a crushed sesamoid bone and correct a detached flexor tendon.

I’m With You was released in August this year and went on to sell over 229,000 copies in it’s first week in the US. A little closer to home it peaked at number two on the ARIA album charts. The album is the first after the departure of longtime guitarist John Frusciante who was replaced by former Warpaint member and longtime friend Josh Klinghoffer.

But despite no official announcement, dates for shows down under can’t be that far away from being announced.

Speaking to Triple M late last year long time bassist Flea revealed “We are coming. I looked at my tour schedule and it’s there next year. I don’t know the dates, I’m sorry, but we are coming. Without doubt, we will come… and rock… like untethered beasts.”
