Our heads are still reeling from the news last week that Marilyn Manson and Johnny Depp have teamed up for a new song that will feature on Manson’s forthcoming studio LP.

So we just about wet ourselves when we discovered some footage today of the two jamming it out on stage where they made an appearance at the Golden God Awards to promote Born Villain, Manson’s eight album.

His performance started off innocently enough, playing through the the run-of-the-mill greatest hits, before Depp arrived on stage as a surprise guest to wild cheers from the audience.

Unfortunately the song the unlikely duo have recorded together, a cover of Carly Simon’s classic ‘You’re So Vain’ was not on the cards, but they did belt out two of Manson’s classic tracks – The Beautiful People and his famous cover of Eurythmic’s Sweet Dreams.

Depp and Manson are reportedly friends, in fact Manson even accompanied Depp to the premiere of one of the Pirates Of The Caribbean films, a bizarre coincidence given ‘You’re So Vain’ was reportedly written about Rolling Stones’ frontman Mick Jagger, and bandmate Keith Richards was who Johnny Depp based his character in the Pirates films on.

Talking to MTV previously about the new collaboration Manson revealed, “(We wanted to do) a cover of a song which we thought was ironic for each other… He played drums and lead guitar, and I played guitar and sang.”

“It’s a bonus track on my new record and the video will probably be us looking at each other in a mirror.”

Born Villain is due to be released on May 1st, 2012. You can watch Depp and Manson perform below.
