From Van Halen’s David Lee Roth regularly goading fans or All American Rejects’ smashing a filming punter’s iPad, 2012 seems to be turning into quite a good year for artists who want to pick out unruly fans.  Never one to be outdone in the grand-standing agitated stakes, Kanye West took issue with a laser pointer-toting fan at a recent concert in Paris.

Spin reports that the rap superstar, currently performing with fellow big-leaguer Jay-Z for their Watch The Throne concert series, brought his Paris performance of “Flashing Lights” to a crashing halt when one particular concert-goer thought it smart to bring some flashing lights of their own, using a laser pointer to distract Yeezy during the song’s intro.

It’s impressive that West was even able to spot the trickster fan amongst a stadium-filling light show of his own, but he warned the perpetrator to “not fuck with the lasers back there… don’t fuck with anybody’s show. Chill,” during the song’s

When the audience member did not cease his antics, instead supposedly blinding the singer, West ordered the track to be stopped, saying “you see this guy right here with the green laser? Fucked up everybody’s show – it’s not a game.” Prompting a crowd-swelling “oooh” from the crowd. Yeezy threatening “you might get fucked up and kicked out” before telling him to “chill the fuck out.”

Cue dropping back into showmanship mode after putting the trickster in their place as his own laser-light show kicked back in.
