Harvest Festival first announced the first round of bands of its killer lineup last June. Featuring headlining act and sheet music peddler, Beck, the purveyors of glacial sonics Sigur Ros, along with a bill featuring Grizzly Bear, The Dandy Warhols, Ben Folds Five, Mike Patton’s Mondo Cane and many, many more.

Since that first announcement, and despite teasers that another lot of names would be added to the festival bill shortly thereafter, there’s been a significant delay to the second line-up announcement.

Probably because Harvest boss and promoter, AJ Maddah, has had his hands full with the lineup for the Soundwave Festival. After all, wrangling three of the big four (Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax) for the touring music event is no small task.

To his credit, he’s been regularly updating fans’ inquiries with responses about the state of Harvest Festival and the delays of the second lineup announcement that happeend not once, but twice.

But now, the wait is over and fans’ patience has been rewarded with this afternoon’s announcement of the second round of acts, and if you thought the Harvest bill couldn’t get any better – well, just cast your eyes over the high-calibre names below and decide for yourself.

The biggest news however, is the addition of a second date for the Melbourne leg of the festival due to popular demand, after the first date on November 11th at Werribee Park sold out.
