Because the first time oughta be special, we’re delighted to announce our first release will be the debut 7”
from Melbourne fuzzed-up trippers Buried Feather. While the lads apply the finishing touches to a suitably
epic LP, we’re more than a little excited to be capturing the head-spinning ecstasy of ‘Time It Takes’ for all
eternity on premium vinyl for your aural pleasure.
Longtime fans of their mesmerizing live shows, Buried Feather were the only choice for SDP’s inaugural
release. Drawing comparison with the hazy sludge of Dead Meadow and the blissed-out drone of
Spacemen 3, a simple demo tape flowing with cyclic riffs built around squelching fuzz and swirling organ
snared the attention of Triple R legend Stephen ‘The Ghost’ Walker.
The band will be launching the record in Melbourne on October 27, with very special guests Baptism of
Uzi & The Sun Blindness coming along for the ride. To make matters even more enticing… everyone at
the gig will get a copy of ‘Time It Takes’ on pristine white vinyl, unavailable for purchase anywhere else in
the entire universe.
