The four friends who make up Melbourne band City Calm Down have never been one’s to rush their art, instead the band has spent the last three years sharpening their skills into an exceptional mix of lasting vocal lines, gritty synth sounds and bass lines which will chug their way into the depths of your chest.

The band is now set to emerge from the overcast shadows of Melbourne town with their impressive EP ‘Movements’ which will be released through I OH YOU on the 2nd of November.

To celebrate its release City Calm Down are now happy to announce two exclusive launch shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

Having been bunkered down with producer Malcolm Besley (Snakadaktal, Gold Fields) working on “Movements”, City Calm Down have surfaced from the studio with an impressive sounding record which should hopefully see them turning a few heads in the near future!

The band have developed a loyal following in Melbourne through their notable live show which has seen them share stages with acts like Faithless, Miami Horror, Phoenix, Snakadaktal and many more.

With ‘Movements’ mastered and ready to go, plus the first taste of the record ‘Pleasure & Consequence’ out in the blog world receiving a great reaction, we’re now thrilled to announce that City Calm Down will be playing two exclusive launch shows in Sydney and Melbourne this November to celebrate the new release!

City Calm Down’s ‘Movements’ EP will hit shelves (both physical and digital) on the 2nd of November 2012 through I OH YOU.
