With a strikingly pure falsetto voice, Woods’ Jeremy Earl spills a twist of dark secrets and images within his songs.

After two early releases, Woods gained widespread critical acclaim with the release of ‘Songs of Shame’ in 2009. Since, escaping from their previously haunting acoustic albums, Woods combines deceptively sturdy melodies with off-kilter energy.

All seven albums have been released on Earl’s influential label Woodsist, which has released records from Real Estate, Kurt Vile and Sun Araw just to name a few.
Woods have just released their seventh album ‘Bend Beyond’ where Earl’s beautiful falsetto meets an unknown darkness of stuttered guitar and a collision of instruments.

January 2013 will see Woods bring their live show heavy with kraut-rock blackouts and distorting sound-scape journeys to Australia for the first time ever.
