Melbourne’s Atomic Bliss morphed from the remnants of psychedelic Rock Freaks The Boris Pink, back in August 2010.

Since then, they bunkered up in a safe cosy spot where principle songwriter Stav Milonas refined his vague musical ideas into concise pop rock structures.

The band began the process of shaping a bunch of killer tunes, tracking with gun ARIA-award winning producer Jimi Maroudas at Melbourne’s iconic Sing Sing studios.

The rough recordings attracted the interest of legendary New York producers David Kahne (The Strokes,The Bangles,Paul Mcartney) and Tony Visconti (Bowie,T-Rex). Also offering their hands were Sylvia Massey (Tool,Johnny Cash) and Swedish producers Pelle Henriccson and Eskil Lovstrom (The Refused,The Dukes of Windsor).

Opting for a chilly 10 days in Umea, Sweden,Stav packed up the tapes and jetted overseas. Working in a studio that had once been an asylum, the three began beating he recordings into shape bringing a raw energetic growl to the music.

Now, Atomic Bliss are ready to launch their second single ‘RADIO’ from their debut self-titled album, due for release early December 2012.

Playing Revolver Upstairs in Melbourne on Saturday the 13th October, with supports from some of Melbourne’s finest young bands The Elliots and The Atlantic Fall, the night promises to be a wild night of excellent local rock roll to celebrate the release of their psychedelic pop/punk gem, ‘RADIO’
