Following its first announcement at the start of the month, the ever popular Meredith Music Festival‘s sister event, Golden Plains is firing back up again, and its 2013 showing promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The lineup is well and truly being drip-fed and following on from confirmation that Cat Power will be playing Golden Plains Lucky 7, we now have another act we can add to what will eventually be a deliciously eclectic bill.

While the full lineup will be available next Tuesday morning, teases Aunty Meredith, she can now reveal that the Funkiest Experience on Mother Earth will be landing in the Supernatural Amphitheatre on the last night of the festival to deliver a two hour funk extravaganza with a 17-piece band.

GEORGE CLINTON AND PARLIAMENT FUNKADELIC will be bringing their the “funkiest funky funk” to Golden Plains Lucky 7.

So while Parliament Funkadelic will be bringing their legendary, ass-shaking vibes to the Sunday night of the event, the lovely Chan Marshall aka Cat Power and her all-new band will be closing the Sunset slot on the Saturday beforehand – providing two amazing reasons to get excited about a hand-selected, curated, and guaranteed ‘Golden Top Quality’ festival bill.Aunty Meredith can now reveal that the Funkiest Experience on Mother Earth will be landing in the Supernatural Amphitheatre on the last night of the festival
