Dan Kelly is taking a break from recording his new album ‘Inspiration Point’ to do a rare solo show in Canberra (Smith’s Alternative Bookstore on Nov 16) and inBrisbane (Black Bear Lodge on Nov 23).
Armed with an array of guitars and drum machines Dan can move from ye olde folk balladry to cosmic rock to falsetto boogie with ease, giving him the scope to perform a diverse selection from his much loved back catalogue. Mostly he likes crowd sing alongs and sometimes over uses his smoke machine. Dan has been working on ‘Inspiration Point’ in London and Italy with producer Aaron Cupples and is keen to showcase a bunch of new songs as well. Support in Brisbane is from the KEEP ON DANCIN’S who, as the name suggests, are an awesome reverberant rock and roll dance party band with a fabulous golden throated singer.
Tickets are cheap and the venues are intimate and tremendous. There will be Dan Kelly swimming caps also available after the show
