Get ready to get your pop-cultural rap references on, everyone’s new favourite rapper, Childish Gambino has finally announced Big Day Out Sideshows!
Despite the fact that most other acts announced their sideshow dates months ago, Gambino aka Donald Glover has just let the news slip now, a few mere months away from the festival.
Reknowned his keen wordplay and obscure musical and lyrical references (and also his ability to get almost anyone to rap, even Beck), Gambino’s finally getting the chance to show Australian fans that he’s more than just a comical wordsmith. Having made a name for himself this year at major festivals like Coachella, Gambino and co. are bound to deliver more high energy live shows both on the Big Day Out Stages and during their sideshows.
While we doubt one-time rap collaborator Tina Fey will be joining Gambino on stage, it’s definitely a gig to get excited about.
