It seems the next few months are going to absolutely massive ones music wise with each festival topping the next.

With not one but two major lineup announcements having already taken place, most punters thought the Peats Ridge Festival couldn’t get any better. Boy was everyone wrong. The first announcement saw the headliners annoucned as The John Butter Trio and also gave away that Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings and The Black seeds would be playing.

The second announcement revealed a slew of international acts including  Luke Slater, Half Moon Run and many more.

Today, the lovely folks at Peats Ridge have announced that not only have more acts been added to the already impressive lineup, but that in fact 98 new acts are scheduled for the end of year festival. No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you we did say 98 new acts including Hiatus Kaioyte, Svelt, Snow Blow, George O’Sullivan and more. Lots more.

Joining head liners, John Butler Trio and Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings at the festival this year are the crop of Australia’s up and coming new bands as well as full lineups for both the Dub Shack and Pirates Lair stages.

Rocking the house this year will be house heavy weights DJ Jungle Snake & DJ Dreamcatcher AKA Slow Blow. The Sydney boys have gone from cult-underground-party, to a righteous institution for in-the-know-house-heads.
Softwar will keep the party styling and popping well in to the night.

The band has been playing all over the world for the likes of MTV, Rolling Stone Magazine and now they’re coming to The Glenworth Valley.

Having shared the stage with Roni Size and Skrillex Kobra Kai will be dropping some live Drum n’ Bass with a touch of Grime whilst playing on the back of their latest release – Dark Continent, Cold Century – The Book of Ships Solo have been compared to Animal Collective’s Panda Bear

With a new set of artists joining a genre-spanning list of musical outfits hitting up Peats Ridge 2012, the latest line-up is sure to push excitements into overdrive.

Set over 3 days, 10 stages and countless pop-up sites, 200 acts will join you as you welcome the New Year, true to the Festival’s commitment to bringing people and artists together in a celebration of the arts, music, life and the environment. There is no better getaway or alternative to the hectic city scene than Peats Ridge Festival.
