After establishing himself as one of the most in-demand live artists in the world, Ben Howard has announced a string of sideshows for when he’s in Australia for Bluesfest.

Howard will take to the stage for his first three Australian headline performances in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne respectively.

Ben Howard has had a whirlwind introduction to the world off the back of his Mercury Prize nominated, platinum-selling debut album “Every Kingdom”.

Off the back of a grueling worldwide tour schedule that saw him shine in front of US, UK, European and Australian audiences, it’s no surprise that he notched up over a half a million record sales to his name worldwide.

Howard’s follow up release “The Burgh Island EP” sees him ditching his acoustic guitar and taking up things electric. The four tracks are more dark and brooding; an interesting counterpoint to previous radio favourites ‘Old Pine’ and ‘Keep Your Head Up’.

It seems his pop folk tunes, laid-back manner and love of surfing resonate well with Australian audiences. After testing the waters earlier this year when touring as part of the Communion tour, it was clear that Howard had herds of fans with rooms a-buzz to see the troubadour play.

With new music in tow, the anticipation is high for BEN HOWARD’s 2013 Australian tour.

“Every Kingdom” and “The Burgh Island EP” are out now in Australia through Island/Universal.

Tickets are on sale Monday December 17th at 9AM.
