2013 is set to be banner year for Paul Greene, the Aussie Olympian turned professional singer songwriter.

The definition of a decent, humble and hard-working guy, Greene has seen more than his fair share of ups and downs, all of them with a guitar in his hand and a song in the making.

‘Bad Luck Lately’ is the third single off his (Best Blues & Roots) Aria Award Nominated album; ‘Behind the Stars’.

At the end of 2010, ‘bad luck’ indeed seemed to follow Greene everywhere. Personal issues and many behind the scene problems with his career (including a case of identity theft) were detracting from the positive response to Greene’s music.
Feeling despondent and exhausted, Greene simply stopped.

However, this grim situation proved to be the perfect place for the artist in Greene to draw inspiration and reinvigorate his passion for song writing, resulting in his seventh album.
Also credited as producer, ‘Behind the Stars’ is an absolute triumph for Greene; and a testament to his honesty about the darker times we all at some point venture through. Critics agree.

“Paul Greene is a runner and a musical craftsman – two things that already make him, for reasons that go beyond the fact of simply putting the assertion here, a dead-set champion…”– Stephen Fitzpatrick, The Australian.

“One of Australia’s most consistent singer-songwriters… it’s one of those albums that makes you want to press play again the moment that the final track ends.” – www.soundsofoz.com

‘Bad Luck Lately’ encapsulates the overall motif of ‘Behind the Stars’. Encouraging the notion that you simply can’t have bad luck all the time, this is an anthem for the positive and a success story for the down on their luck.

Accompanying the single is an uplifting clip filmed in the sea side markets of Yantai; a small city on the coast of China. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDSwZeQIWaY .
The video was shot by ex-golf pro, now instructor, friend and Greene fan; Patrick Gibson. The positivity and exuberance captured in the video is indicative of the optimistic and ‘nice guy’ nature of one of Australia’s finest up and comers.

To celebrate the release of ‘Bad Luck Lately,’ Paul Greene and The Other Colours, hot off a successful Woodford Folk Festival, are about to embark on the ‘Gettin Lucky’ Tour. Embrace the New Year, and embrace a change of luck with Paul Greene & The Other Colours this February.
