The Boss’ return to Australian shores with his faithful E Street Band for the first time in a decade has become one of the hottest tickets in town, with dates to nearly all dates nearly completely sold out in Brisbane, Melbourne, and the special show at Hanging Rock, with support from Jimmy Barnes and The Rubens.
Bruce Springsteen fans in Sydney however, have one last chance to catch the American music legend in all his live glory with the announcement of a third and final show at Sydney’s Allphones Arena on Friday 22nd March.
The tenth and final show to be Added to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s Wrecking Ball tour, the final Sydney date will no doubt add to the nearly 140,000 tally of tickets sold for The Boss’ dates in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
Unfortunately E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt won’t be making the trip down under, due to scheduling conflicts with his commitments to the TV series Lillyhammer, so Springsteen has drawn from his very rich musical deck and pulled out an ace for Australian fans with confirmation that none other than Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello will be filling in on guitar duties for the Australian Tour.
As if the promise of 3/12 hour marathon shows wasn’t enough, Morello’s presence with Springsteen and The E Street Band’s talented lineup – featuring Max Weinberg, , Patti Scialfa, Garry Tallent, Roy Bittan, and Nils Lofgren – will make their Australian visit that much more unique.
