From salt, sand and circuitry, Australian industrial dance act Forcsreturn with new single ‘Overland (In My Mind)’.

The taut industrial pop of ‘Overland (In My Mind)’ propels the listener across an endless terrain; the distant sound of commerce echoes deep in the earth. Taken from their brand new self titled EP, via Siberia Records, ‘Overland (In My Mind)’ was produced by the band and mixed by Kim Moyes of The Presets.

Forces will launch the release of ‘Overland (In My Mind)’ over several dates playing in Tokyo at Glad/Lounge Neo (Shibuya) on 4 February, Club 77 in Sydney on 8 February and the Liberty Social in Melbourne on 22 February.

Forces’ self titled EP is available now on limited edition 12″ vinyl via Siberia Records. Simultaneously sumptuous and sterile, Forces new framework offers guidance through the hostile terrain it generates.

Thirsting for a synthesis between body, land and technology, this work is the first significant artifact in Forces’ exploration of dance and pop. Their sound embodies both the vastness of Australia’s arid landscapes and its voracious appetite for technology.

Forces have surged to prominence since emerging in 2011, quickly establishing a reputation for confronting live performance coupled with concise and visceral dance music. Forces live highlights include performances at The Sydney Opera house for Vivid Festival, alongside Zola Jesus and Light Asylum, and many shows with their contemporaries including My Disco, Gang Gang Dance and label-mate Kirin J Callinan.
