If you missed her 35 minute set last year in Australia, you’re in luck as the one and only Miss Azealia Banks will be playing a run of official Future Music Festival sideshows this March!

Azealia Banks is the 21-year-old female vocalist who has – as Billboard described –  “shaken up the blogosphere like a snowglobe.” Her simple black and white video for “212 (featuring Lazy Jay)” has racked up nearly 45 million views since she posted it in 2011!

Hailing originally from Harlem, New York, hard-hitting natural born lyricist Azealia Banks is the personification of cool – So much so in fact, that amongst her many accolades she topped NME’s “Cool List” in 2011.  With a much anticipated new album on the way, Azealia Banks released the “1991” EP featuring the hit “212”.  Now this provocative lady of the moment is set to deliver a hot and heavy run of shows ahead of her performances on Future Music Festivals. Her forthcoming full length album, ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’ is coming soon through Interscope Records.

Miss Banks has a way of fusing street sensibility with a musical sophistication, the result of which is pure alchemy that reflects years of classical training and quite frankly a whole lot of talent. Each of her offerings has thus far provided us with a glimpse of the vibrancy and versatility that Azealia brings to her music, hinting at the range her full-length debut album will reveal. We can’t wait to hear it!

Joining Azealia will be Triple J House Party host  Nina Las Vegas. Nina started out her career behind the decks at some of Australia’s best clubs and festivals, Nina formed some great partnerships. Nina joined Anna Lunoe and Bad Ezzy to make all girl club DJ supergroup HOOPS, and founded Heaps Decent with DJ friends Diplo and Levins; an initiative committed to finding and nurturing the creativity of underprivileged and Indigenous young people.
