Beth Orton has just annoucned her  first Australian tour since the release of her acclaimed album Sugaring Season.

Taking place in May, tickets for this brief tour of churches and cathedrals are available through Ticketek, www.ticketek.com.au and are on sale on March 4th except in Perth where tickets go on sale on Tuesday March 5th.

Beth Orton is a BRIT Award-winner and two-time Mercury Prize nominee who is well-renowned for her collaborations with other artists, as well as being regarded as a pioneer of the folktronica movement.

Her collaborations have seen her work with artists such as Bert Jansch, Emmylou Harris, The Chemical Brothers, Beck, Jim O’Rourke, and Ryan Adams among others.

Since its release in September, Beth’s latest album Sugaring Season has been embraced by audiences and media around the world. After a six year hiatus from touring and recording as she raised a family, Beth has stripped back her music to its folk roots and delivered her comeback album, heralded as her masterpiece.

On this very special Heavenly Sounds tour, presented in beautiful churches and cathedrals around Australia, Beth will be performing songs from Sugaring Season. in intimate duo mode, as well as tracks from her classic recordings Trailer Park, Central Reservation and Daybreaker.

Expect nothing short of a spellbinding evening of the most enchanting sounds from Beth Orton as she tours for Heavenly Sounds in May.
