Triple J‘s annual rural rock pilgrimage, the One Night Stand, is back for 2013, with the date of the big bash and first four acts announced this afternoon. The event will take place on Saturday 13th April, with the location to be announced early next week.

This year’s One Night Stand once again has a lin-up filled with the cream of Australian music across several genres.

As has been gradually revealed over the last hour – The Rubens, Flume, Seth Sentry and Ball Park Music are all locked in to perform at the big bash.

With The Rubens and Flume both having recently announced national tours, it’s safe to say they’ll be warmed up for the much anticipated gig.

The One Night Stand is a completely free, all-ages concert to anyone who wishes to attend. All you have to do is get there. More information on the event can be found at the triple j website.

Previously acts like Matt Corby, Birds of Tokyo, The Living End, Art vs. Science, The Jezabels, The Temper Trap, and Silverchair have graced the stage of the famed station’s One Night Stand.

This year, alongside the usual radio broadcast, ABC2 will be broadcasting the entire event live from 7pm.

Not only that, a special access-all-areas feature will be available via second screen, which will feature streaming onstage performances as well as live backstage video. You can then catch up with One Night Stand performances via iView! What an age we live in!
