Brisbane’s bass heavy roof raisers Kingfisha will hit the road for the first time in 2013 in support of their new single, “Digging For Fire”. This will be the third and final tour for the KINGFISHA album, which was highly acclaimed in 2012.

The long awaited debut long player from Kingfisha was featured on numerous radio stations across the country, gained rave reviews and the second single ‘Piece Of the Puzzle, was added to high rotation on national network jjj.

In leaps and bounds the polished Kingfisha have blown away audiences with their powerful dub/reggae sounds and slick vocal styling. The ‘Digging For Fire’ tour will be no different, commencing in March at Womadelaide, the band will then team up with fellow Brisbane heavyweights, Dubamrine, for double headline shows in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney & Byron Bay.

“Digging For Fire,” offers up yet another skankin reggae groove and a toe tappin/head bobbin hook. It is no wonder these guys are fast becoming Australia’s comparison to the soulful vibes, of Fat Freddy’s Drop, The Black Seeds & the likes of so many internationally renowned artists.
