When British singer/guitarist Addison Axe hit Perth for a three month sojourn, she knew she wouldn’t have any trouble finding people to jam with – W.A. What she didn’t realise was that, having attracted the likes of Vanessa Thornton (Jebediah, End of Fashion, Felicity Groom) and Brett Mitchell (Jebediah), to her banner, the resultant musical melange would be impossible to abandon.

Axe Girl fuses the four members’ individual influences into a pop/punk maelstrom that’s been lighting up stages and blitzing audiences all over Perth. The band recently launched of their debut EP, Ghost Romance, which was recorded with the legendary Dave Parkin at Blackbird Studios and have been stirring up Perth with their energetic, catchy tunes and explosive shows.

They will be making their eagerly awaited first voyage to the east coast this March with their invasion begins on Friday March 15th at The Cherry Bar, Melbourne’s premier rock n’ roll venue, where they will be supported by local heroes The Mercy Kills & The Morrisons.

The band are looking to make Melbourne their home away from home, so give them a warm welcome for their debut show this March.
