We’re MESA COSA! We dig up dead bodies in the night and ask them questions about the other side. We often get into fights. We cant afford many things but we can usually get a hold of the necessities.

You guys just got back from Camp A Low Hum in NZ, was this your first time playing to audiences across the Tasman?

Yes it was.

How do Kiwi audiences responded your live show?

Every audience at Camp was the best audience they could be for whatever band or style they were enjoying, which made the musicians and bands the best they could be too. It was really the audiences who made Camp so good, we played to our wildest funnest most babeing bunch of people yet.

Can you give us a run down of your latest track ‘Creepy’?

It starts off on the second fret on the E string then it goes to the 5th which i think is an A and then the third and fourth fret on the A string. Which sounds kind of creepy so we named the song that. The drums are kinda tribal and the bass does the same kind of thing as the guitar, the song is meant to be death singing a lullaby to her children saying ‘dont be scared, I always had you and I always will, you are mine and i will protect you forever’

It comes from your forthcoming EP, what can we expect from that?

Some really great songs in Spanish and English about God, the Devil, DMT and the B52’s.

How does your new EP differ from your previous tracks?

There are a few more songs in English and It will be better recorded but still noisy and messy.

You guys are playing at the Shadow Electric bar on Saturday 16th March, have you ever been to the Abbotsford Convent before?

Yes but not to Shadow Electric, we’re looking forward to the movie and the (hopefully) complimentary popcorn.

What sort of mischief are you guys going to get up to when you play there?

We’re going to steal stuff and get drunk and bleed and break everything and have sex with all the animals at the childrens farm up the road.

If you could collaborate with any other Australian artists, who would that be and why?

Scotdrakula because they’re hot.

What are your plans for the rest of 2013?

We have a couple of tours with some really great international acts coming up, we are doing a split, getting a record out, hopefully get something going in Europe, and lots of parties.

Where we can see you play next, what releases do you have available and where can we get them?

We have shirts and an ep available at our bandcamp, we also have an extended edition 12” available in europe through Casbah Records, its re mastered by Mikey, so if youre reading this and youre in Portugal or Spain or France, buy that one! The shipping is cheaper too. Bye! xx
