Everyone’s favourite party-starting duo, Yacht Club DJs, have been keeping themselves busy ahead of their upcoming national tour and to celebrate, today they’ve dropped another one of their killer mixtapes.

Their latest goes under the spicy Italian-inspired name Find Me A Macchiato Pronto, yet its artwork depicts the pair in Mexican mariachi costumes; showing that almost everything Yacht Club DJs do is mashed up.

Following on from last year’s They Mostly Come Out At Night, Mostly megamix, the latest mixtape is everything we’ve grown to expect from Guy Chappell and Gaz Harrison. Known for their blended mashups, on this one they manage to turn Snoop Dog into Fun. and morph Kings of Leon into Daft Punk.

In an interview with Tone Deaf last year, Chappell gave a surprising insight into the pair’s lives as DJs. “We are both quiet nerds by day. It’s a strange dichotomy I know, our life is like the antithesis of our live show, we do all that stuff because we enjoy letting our hair down and we want everyone to have a really awesome party, that’s a DJ’s job,” he said.

The release of the new mixtape coincides with the announcement of new dates for their national tour that kicks off this weekend in Brisbane, with their National Mayhem Tour seeing the Ballarat boys hitting up dates across West and East Coasts alike, including regional dates in Bathurst, Bunbury, and Ballarat.

Demand for their latest show has been so great in Melbourne, that after selling out their first Ding Dong show on March 30, Gaz and Guy have turned their Melbourne stop-off into a bender by adding another show for the following night. They’ve also added our very own Tone Deaf Bowled Over Summer Series show in Sydney to their list of tour dates. They’ve also got US and Canada tour dates brewing in the mix, with dates for their overseas jaunt to come shortly.

However, the Aussie kings of mashup are looking for another venue to add on to the end of their national tour, and it could be your living room.

Yacht Club DJs are offering the chance to play a House Party to the winner of a new competition, asking savvy fans to correctly identify the 19 tracks sampled in a 3-minute version of Find Me A Macchiato Pronto.
