Following on from Splendour revealing the details of their Official Resale Facility to scupper the efforts of ticket scalpers, there’s now an update on Secret Sounds’ list of official Splendour 2013 Sideshows.
As previously promised there’s a whole ream of Splendour’s 77-strong lineup heading along the East Coast (and in James Blake and FIDLAR’s case heading as far as Perth) to deliver special headline shows in conjunction with their appearance at the three-day music festival, whose popularity was confirmed after organisers announced that all tickets, camping passes, and Country Club VIP tickets to the event were sold out.
The Splendour 2013 sideshows are bound to please fans looking to get a taste of the music festival’s impressive lineup. Including British post-dubstep star James Blake, neo-punk act Fidlar, English garage heroes Palma Violets, art-pop enthusiasts Everything Everything, and New York synth popsters MS MR, and Californian left-field rockers Cold War Kids.

Meanwhile emerging Cali sister band HAIM have completely sold out their Melbourne and Sydney shows in less than an hour, with no extra shows to be added for their debut Australian vist.
Then there’s emerging Dublin five-piece Little Green Cars, who have been added to the bill for the sideshows for evocative indie group Daughter. The Irish band dropped their fearless debut Absolute Zero, which our Tone Deaf reviewer called “a collection of light and dark tunes wrought with striking introspection on life and love.”
Off the back of a sold out UK tour, Daughter have enjoyed an exceedingly warm Aussie welcome with their Melbourne show at The Corner now sold out. Massive demand in Sydney has seen a sell out at Oxford Art Factory forcing the band to upgrade their venue to The Metro.
