New Jersey’s Senses Fail have made great leaps and bounds since their formative years as a post-hardcore quintet, and there’s no greater proof of their successful evolution than their latest long-player, Renancer. Their heaviest and most sophisticated work to date, Renancer finds the group aiming to redefine their sonic attack and presentation, which they’ve done with great aplomb to the delight of fans and critics alike.

Sense Fail first formed in the early 2000s and it wasn’t long before they helped define New Jersey’s burgeoning music scene, forming a key part of the post-hardcore community surrounding them.

More recently, the band went through some dramatic personnel changes, but triggered the starting point of a new point of evolution for the band. Following the departure of Zablocki, Matt Smith (Strike Anywhere) took hold of the reigns, installing a more creative, collaborative dynamic to almost everything in the band, including the songwriting.

Embracing new spaces, dynamics, changing producers, and even dabbling in Spanish to honour their fans, Senses Fail are today a re-energised, revolutionised acts, standing before crowds faster, harder and heavier than they’ve been at any point in their career.

Sense Fail hit our shores this August for a run of headline show that bring this refreshed band with their vigorous outlook to clamouring fans and curious punters alike.
