All Time Low Announce 2013 Australian Tour

Pop punks All Time Low were in the country earlier this year as part of the mammoth Soundwave 2013 lineup, and they enjoyed it so much that they’re heading back to our shores without having to share stages with a bunch of other sweaty bands!

Not many bands can keep laying claim to selling out shows whenever they tour, but All Time Low can wear that badge with pride, and they’re set to do it again, announcing a run of dates for August/September, 2013.

The Baltimore based group won fans back with the 2012 release of Don’t Panic, and as guitarist Jack Barakat revealed in an interview with Tone Deaf before their arrival with Soundwave, “instead of drawing influence from bands that we like and music that we’re listening to, like most bands do, for this album we got inspiration from ourselves.”

“We weren’t planning on going back to our original sound… but yeah, we certainly drew influence from our past albums,” he says. “We listened to the old stuff heaps, we went back to the way we used to be and the way we did things, and back to our old label too, so it’s all kinda added up I guess.” Upping sticks from Interscope and heading home to indie label Hopeless, because – says Barakat – “it was just the right time, and the right thing to do.”

It’d also be the right thing to catch the band’s energetic live show, drawing on their extensive back catalogue and decade-long experience hitting up stages across the globe.
