Has it really only been 12 months since The Reverence Hotel opened up Melbourne? It feels as if the Footscray venue has been rocking live music for a lot longer, so great is the strength for which it rocks Melboourne’s live music scene.

So what better way to celebrate a 1st birthday than to invite a bunch of your favourite bands down to the venue to share the momentous occasion with everyone!

The Rev has booked a few vans full of their favourite live acts, including local heroes The Smith Street Band and Poison City Records alumni Infinite Void, loaded up a bumper load of booze to order, and ready to turn the whole thing up to 11 (maybe even literally if those custom amps arrive in time).

In just one year, the former owners of the Arthouse have brought a delicious Mexican and pizza menu to The Rev’s bar, renovated their back room into an amazing band room with a great PA and stage facilities, then wrangled a huge cross-section of Melbourne’s live music culture to get amongst it.

If you’ve yet to feel the power of The Rev yet, then there’s no better time to check it out than with for the 1st year birthday bash, hopefully the first of many, many more. No excuses, just good tunes, good people, and maybe a spot of great dancing thrown in to round it all out.

So come along on Saturday 1st June and check out The Smith Street Band, Infinite Void, The Gun Runners, High Tension, Grenadiers, The Union Pacific and a helluva lot more.
