Ahead of the album release  and tour we caught up with Suze DeMarchi to talk about cooking disasters, food on the road and her favourite music venue to eat in:

What were your food influences when you were growing up and what kind of food did you eat at home or with your family?

Meat and two veg pretty much…Friday night fish and chips and lots of roast lamb dinners..

Where’s your favourite music venue to eat?

Lizottes run by my old friends Brian Lizotte and his gorgeous wife Jo. They know how to serve up a gourmet meal whilst putting on the best in local and international entertainment…awesome..

How healthy was your diet in the studio throughout the recording of your new album This Is Not The End?

I bring food with me to the studio or make sure to order in healthy alternatives. I say that but we did eat a few curries during recording..

What type of food do you make sure to avoid before a gig or going on stage?

I can’t eat close to a show or I feel like a heavy lump so I eat light, fresh fish and some salad about two hours before is best.

Imagine for a second you can request anything on your rider each night for the upcoming album tour, What food do you put on it?

Shabu shabu would be great! Its quick and healthy and really tasty..

What has been your biggest cooking disaster to date?

I tried to make crème brulee for my kids once but it curdled and they called it scrambled egg brulee..my kids tell me pretty quickly if something is a success or not…

When you tour overseas, what food from home do you miss the most?

The fresh seafood and Cadburys chocolates (when in America)

What’s the most adventurous meal you’ve ever eaten?

Probably in the Azores when we had some fresh cheese from the goat that we made friends with through the week.. the next course was….the goat..

What are you favourite tour van munchies?

Icecream to sooth the chords after a show

This is your last day on earth, what is your final meal?

A Milanese Bolognese followed by crème brulee (uncurdled)
