Melbourne rock band Scaramouche are hitting the road on their biggest and most ambitious tour yet, where they will present a sizzling set of tunes from their latest EP Welcome to the Parlour to audiences across the east coast of Australia.

The band has announced a string of dates throughout June and July spanning from Victoria to Queensland, including a number of regional venues. “We want to bring the energy and excitement of live music to people in regional places who often miss out on such experiences,” says drummer John Milton. “We’ll be taking the east coast town by town. It will be a classic rock tour but on a much larger scale this time – any music lover on the highway is a target.”

Scaramouche are fast becoming known for their blistering live show after a successful East Coast tour last September and a number of follow up shows in New South Wales over summer. The band has also had a busy year in Melbourne, recently playing at the sold out Shiprock’d Festival and just finishing a residency at the much revered Espy Hotel in St Kilda.

Last October Scaramouche released their sophomore EP Welcome to the Parlour, which marks a more mature, edgier sound that builds upon Scaramouche’s characteristic swagger.

Scaramouche has already stirred much excitement in Victoria as an upcoming professional band with a unique flair for showmanship and talent. They have given live performances and interviews on TV programs and radio stations, appeared in Australian Guitar magazine and were ranked 2nd in the Australian Songwriters Association (ASA) National Awards.

Scaramouche are also known for their charitable spirit, raising thousands of dollars for various international causes, including the Hell or High Water benefit show which delivered more than $10 000 towards victims of the 2011 Queensland floods.
