Dan Sultan, Australia’s favourite rock n roll soul man, is getting back to basics, announcing he will play two exclusive solo sets in Melbourne this June, playing the Toff In Town on June 26th and June 27th.
These unique solo shows will be the last for Sultan before he jets overseas the following month to record his highly anticipated third album.
Sultan has had a busy six months working with a wide variety of songwriters and collaborators, both in Melbourne and overseas in New York and LA. The result is an inspired collection catalogue of songs for his third studio effort. .
His collaboration with producer Jan Skubiszewski’s new music project, Way Of The Eagle, ‘Rattlesnake’ is currently all over the airwaves and hints at a new direction for Sultan.
Channelling both classic Dan Sultan style as well as turns to the surprisingly unexpected, these ‘back to basics’ shows will likely be the first chance fans will have to hear these new songs in an intimate setting (and possibly the last too!)
