This year’s edition of Spray N Wip, to be held at Melbourne’s The Espy on Friday 28th June, was already looking very impressive, and now it gets even bigger.

Melbourne indie sextet Alpine will be joining the likes of DZ Deathrays, Wrold’s End Press, and more, headlining this year’s mini-fest.

After finishing three successful, sold-out national headline tours, Alpine will join the Espy madness before in what looks to be their first show back from a US tour with Crystal Fighters to commemorate the American launch of their debut album, A Is For Alpine, as they recently told Tone Deaf in a video interview.

Having already toured with the likes of Kimbra, Sia, Cloud Control, The Jezabels, The Naked And Famous, Matt Corby, Lisa Mitchell, they are set to be the opening support for Foals on their forthcoming Australian Tour. Alpine have been gracing festivals across the country including Laneway, Splendour In The Grass, Southbound and Falls Festival, Alpine will return from America to deliver their sensuous pop sounds to the Espy crowd.

One of Melbourne’s biggest indie parties, bringing together some of the country’s brightest emerging musical talent under the historical roof of St Kilda’s The Espy. Along with the newly announced addition of Alpine, the lineup features dynamic garage duo DZ Deathrays, Melborune’s dance provocateurs World’s End Press, the colourful indie rock of The Griswolds, the suitably enthusiastic Gung Ho, garage specialists Cash For Gold, slick electropopsters Tokyo Denmark Sweden, the sophisticated stylings of Deja and Hollow Everdaze.

There’s also The Reprobettes, Super Magic Hats, Tigermoth, Sleepy Dreamers, Windsor Thieves on the bill, plus DJs Maddie J, Art Felicis, and Just Like Honey. Combined, this is a one-off gathering not to be missed – so don’t!
