Today sees the release of the title track and lead single from Polo Club’s brand new EP, Live For Tonight, and the boys from Melbourne couldn’t be happier with their genre-defying tune. Blending the sharp production skills of Cam Chapman (aka GullyChaps) and the skilled lyrical lashings of MC Dyl Thomas, ‘Live For Tonight’ fuses old skool attack and style with modern production technique and delivery.

The new four-track EP, out July 1st, demonstrates a new spin on Polo Club’s hip hop style and to celebrate the Melbourne four-piece are heading out to play venues around the country this July and August, tearing up stages and hyping crowds in Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales, and the ACT.

Having shared the stage with hip hop legends Ghost Face Killah, Roots Manuva, and Big Boi, as well playing warm up at shows for new school innovators Das Racist and Theophilus London, Polo Club have earned a considerable reputation for their unique music-making. Having also completed national tours with domestic favourites The Herd and Joelistics, and festival performances at Parklife, Good Vibes, and Push Over, Polo Club consistently prove their appreciation to their fans and roots while keeping their head forward and their chin up in search of an impressively modern sound.

The band’s live show is in peak condition, and from July through August they’ll be introducing the next creative phase of their sound, bouncing out new tracks from a fertile Summer of writing and recording. New cuts include the inspirational ‘Live For Tonight’, as well as the tongue in cheek tune ‘Coming Home’, describing Polo Club’s fun homecoming after a world-conquering tour. The band’s back catalogue will also warm audiences as they head out to put a spring in the good people’s winter step.

Live For Tonight is out independently on July 1st, 2013. Listen to the lead single from the new EP, ‘Live For Tonight’ below, and scope Polo Club’s 2013 Tour Dates.
