Following on from this morning’s monster metal triple bill of Bring Me The Horizon, Of Mice & Men, and Crossfaith, Soundwave Touring have another huge announcement for metalheads.

After the rallying cries of the heavy rock community united with ferocious focus to ‘Free Randy’, the campaign to acquit metal vocalist Randy Blythe of manslaughter charges connected to the death of a fan at a Prague concert in 2010, the mighty band that Blythe fronts are making their way to Australia with a very special co-headliner.

Lamb Of God are returning to gift their Australian shows with their incomparable live show this September and joining them are the dense, technical, and effortlessly brutal Meshuggah.

There are metal bands and then there is Lamb Of God. Arriving on the back of their successful seventh album Resolution, the Virginia-bred wrecking crew are back on the road following the acquittal of vocalist Randy Blythe of all charges in connection with the death of 19-year-old Daniel Nosek.

The death of the Czech Lamb of God fan has weighed heavy on Lamb of God and also on Blythe personally, who after speaking with the deceased fan’s aggrieved family was inspired to urge the fellow metal community for greater venue security at their shows in an emotional open letter.

“Security is there to protect the band, the fans, and your business,”  the Lamb Of God frontman writes. “If you cannot provide a safe environment for a show that requires security and barricades, do not have it.” The metal vocalist also urging fans to play it safe on the band’s upcoming world tour. ”Please respect this. If you do take the stage, we will immediately stop playing, you will be removed from the stage with great swiftness, and thrown out of the show with no refund, no questions asked.”

Joining Lamb Of God for their Australian trek is the influential masters of dense metal-making, and arguably the inspirational fathers of the new wave of ‘djent’ bands, the mighty Meshuggah. The Swedish extreme metal five-piece will be bringing their dense, polyrhythmic roar and artisanship to Australian fans for another expectation shattering visit to our shores.

They have forged their own path and are one of those rare bands you just have to hear to believe, something that was made abundantly evident in their rich 25 year plus, seven album catalogue, including their latest ambitious masterpiece, Koloss.

As powerful, as hungry, and as extreme as ever, Lamb Of God and Meshuggah will be a show talked about for decades to come.
