Already headed to Australia to play as part of the 77-band strong lineup for the completely sold out Splendour In The Grass, LA skaters, punks, beer-smashing debonairs, FIDLAR, have released a unique video thank you to their fans today.

“In honour of you having us in your country to play for you, I’m gunna drink this six pack,” says FIDLAR’s Brandon Schwartzel in the new clip thanking Aussie fans in advance for hosting the neo-punks for both Splendour and their ream of official sideshows.

With the perfect punning title of ‘Drunk FIDLAR on the Roof’, the video shows Schwartzel on a roof in his hometown, imbibing a six pack of beers (that “wasn’t Fosters,” he says – bravo!) and then furiously air drumming in honour of the bands forthcoming visit.

Apart form the news of Brandon’s little solo FIDLAR party, Brisbane trio Dune Rats have got their own news to cheers to, with the announcement they are “PSYCHED AS FUCK!!!!!” to be joining FIDLAR’s Australian tour as their support act.

A match made in music heaven, with Dune Rats practically being the Queensland surf grommet equivalent of FIDLAR, both bands possessing a no-holds barred live show built on fuzzy, infectious garage rock and visceral, outlandish stage antics. What could possibly go wrong be better!

Dune Rats have supported the likes of The Drums, Best Coast, Cults, Ariel Pinks Haunted Graffiti, and The Hives, have recently completed a sell out Australian Tour, and are currently sidling across South Africa, China, and South East Asia before returning home for Splendour and their Sideshows FIDLAR.

Get ready for a trail of destruction when Dune Rats join forces with FIDLAR across Australia this winter!
