After a phenomenal sold out tour in 2011, one of this countries favourite Hip-Hop acts Salt n Pepa are coming back to Australia to perform all their legendary hits live.

Paving the way for women in hip-hop, this Grammy Award winning group have sold over 15 million albums worldwide, and are known for putting on an energetic, dynamic and incredibly fun live show. Their Australian and New Zealand Tour in November sees them performing in Sydney, Canberra, Gold Coast, Melbourne and for the first time in 19 years, Auckland.

Hailing from New York, Salt (Cheryl James) and Pepa (Sandy Denton), first burst into the worldwide spotlight in the late 80’s with their international smash hit Push It, which can still be heard in clubs across the world today.

Over the years they released hit after hit including “Lets Talk About Sex”, “Shoop”, “Whatta Man”, “Do You Want Me” and “Tramp”. Their contribution to a culture and to the world of hip-hop has influenced the landscape and look of music as we know it today.

Twenty-five years into their career, they continue to aspire to great heights with history making firsts. Not only were they first female rappers to receive a Grammy, but they were also one of the few select rappers to have the distinct honour of performing on The Oprah Winfrey Show during its history-making run.
