Soulfly are currently in the studio working on their new album. In anticipation of this long awaited record, Blabbermouth reported that bassist Bobby Burns posted the following on the band’s official forum: “We’ve been playing together better than ever in recent times and we’re all really excited to get to work on the new shit!”

Max Cavalera has also recently been saying the following about the album: “We’re thinking about making the songs a little shorter, so if you can imagine maybe a little bit like Minor Threat mixed with ‘Reign In Blood’ mixed with Soulfly, with still some world music, but much smaller, and the songs not so long — shorter. It’ll be more aggressive than ‘Conquer’ even, because it’ll be shorter — it’ll be like when Slayer did ‘Reign In Blood’, kind of thing.”
