Kieran Ryan, songwriter and one-half of now split indie rock duo Kid Sam, is pleased to announce shows in September to celebrate the release of his self-titled debut solo album earlier this year.

A poignant album filled with honest storytelling, our Tone Deaf reviewer called Kieran Ryan a “polished and expansive solo debut”, awarding an 8/10 score noting; “It’s ambitious on a huge scale, it’s atmospheric, it’s intriguing, and Kieran Ryan somehow makes it all work.”

Ryan writes honest songs of a simple structure, but with themes of significance: compositions of our place in the world and the passing of time with Morrissey-esque melancholia.

Great amounts of music were recorded for this album, slowly sifted and pieced together with the help of local musicians like Annabel Grigg from Oh Mercy, Myles Wooten of The Panics, Kelly Lane from Skipping Girl Vinegar, and Luke Benge from Sikap Sempurna.

‘Are You A Conspirator’ is the latest single of Kieran Ryan’s self-titled record and along with the release of the new single comes a solo tour from Kieran Ryan,  playing Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne this September.
