Unstoppable intelligent-electro-pop deviants, Pigeon prove their unwavering commitment to their craft, with the release of the dancefloor anthem, ‘Curtain Call’.

A slightly darker offering than their unique brand of organic electro, ‘Curtain Call’ comes with a European flavour, inspired by the likes of Miike Snow and Royksopp. With the organic feel of raw piano combined with electronic bass, the single is “reminiscent of some kind of traditional tale involving a castle and a princess but set in space,” says Pigeon

The Brisbane-based band have had a bustling few months including international radio success, national tours, a slew of remixes as well as their smartly crated Daft Punk medley going viral, amassing more than 250,000 views on Youtube.

Their international sound with a local twist has won Pigeon highfives from discerning music press, as well as invited to share stages with some of Australia’s best live acts, including Strange Talk and Van She, as well as undertaking their own successful headline East Coast tours.

UPDATE:  The free Rockhampton show on 24th August has been cancelled, with the band stating: “due to circumstances beyond our control we will no longer be appearing in Rockhampton on our Curtain Call tour.” The Adelaide show on 14th September has also had a change in venue and will now be held at Rhino Room (and not Ed’s Castle).

No strangers to success, their first EP Parallels debuted at #6 on the Australian iTunes Electronic Albums chart, with their second track ‘Stratosphere’ being nominated for the 2012 Electronic/Dance QLD Music Award. Their sophomore EP Fortunes saw the single ‘All That Bad’ debut at #2 on the Triple J Unearthed charts, receiving significant attention on Australian radio as well as being the #18 most added on it’s debut on the CMJ college radio charts.

Billed on the lineup for prestigious festivals such as Splendour In The Grass, Parklife, BigSound, Fat As Butter, and Peats Ridge, to name a few, Pigeon have never feared leaving the nest, touring extensively and making a much deserved name for themselves on the national live circuit.

Don’t miss them at a venue near you on their extensive national tour this July, August and September. Tickets on sale now
