Good news today for Sydney’s underage music fans desperate to get a slice of the Splendour In The Grass action.

In response to numerous direct appeals from their younger fans, Manchester quartet Everything Everything has decided to make their Sydney show an ALL AGES event! Tickets for this show at The Metro on Saturday 27 July are on sale now so interested parties best jump on it quick.

In the midst of a monster run on festival shows across the northern hemisphere Everything Everything have gone straight from cult favourites to the big time. The band has recently played The Great Escape, Field Day, Parklife Weekender, Isle Of White, Glastonbury and Open’er Festival and will also perform at T In The Park and Latitude before they head to Australia at the end of this month.

“We’re actually really looking forward to it. It’s the first time in the country at all, for any of us in any way,” frontman Jonathan Higgs told Tone Deaf in a recent interview, in which he discussed the band’s riveting new album Arc and the band’s music celebrity fanbase; including Elbow, Coldplay, Noel Gallagher and more bizarrely, a member of a world-renowned boy band.

“Are you familiar with Take That in Australia? Howard [Donald], one of the members – not the one that everyone knows but one of the dancing kind of members – he appeared earlier on in our career saying that he was a fan,” says Higgs.

Everything Everything will be joined in Sydney and Melbourne for their Splendour sideshows by Clubfeet, who recently released ‘Cape Town’, the third single from their critically acclaimed sophomore album Heirs & Graces. Plus, Sydneysiders will also be treated to a set by Vydamo, the solo project of Art vs Science’s Jim Finn.
