Having recently returned to Australia from touring Europe and the U.S with the Bad Seeds, one of Australia’s most legendary and influential guitarists and songwriters, Ed Kuepper, is gearing up to arrive at a town near you in a series of special ‘Solo And By Request’ shows that will see him drawing from his nearly 40-year history of music making.
That’s right, armed with only his voice, a couple of acoustic guitars and a stomp box, Kuepper will play crowd favourites from his vast and influential back catalogue.
Songs from the Saints, Laughing Clowns, The Aints, as well as any of the material from around two dozen or so solo albums are all fair game. Depending on his mood, requests to ‘’plays something new!’ may even be indulged with a song or two from Ed’s as-yet-unfinished new album, his first set of all new material since Jean Lee And The Yellow Dog in 2007.
Kicking off atPerth’s Fly By Night on the 16th August, The Last Action Hero Tour sees Kuepper travelling across the country and taking in venues both intimate and expansive, playing Adelaide, the Gold Coast, Canberra, and a host of regional visits dotted from August through to October and November.
With the setlist and direction in the hands of the punters, these are shows that are simply not to be missed!
