Like Scott and Charlene or Beyonce and Jay-Z, some things are just meant to be and this September two of Sydney’s finest, The Griswolds and Chance Waters, are stepping out together for the “More Than Just Friends” tour.

Both acts have been killing it in their own music scenes and like Kanye West teaming up with Bon Iver, which at the start seemed like an odd match-up, they prove that together they are a force to be reckoned with!

The two acts have been holed up in the studio recording a track together for Chance’s upcoming album and the tour will be the first time it will be unveiled to fans in all its glory.

2013 has been a huge year for both acts with Chance signing a deal with Island Records and hitting the Triple J Hottest 100 with his tracks “Young and Dumb” (feat. Bertie Blackman) and “Maybe Tomorrow”. He was also nominated for 2012’s Unearthed Artist of the Year.

Announcing a worldwide deal with US-based Wind-Up Records, The Griswolds have spent the year taking their Triple J hits “Heart of a Lion” and “The Courtship of Summer Preasley” to the world with shows around the globe. Their first tour of Europe and the UK was a huge success and their debut EP is released in the states this September.

The ‘More Than Just Friends’ tour kicks off in Melbourne on September 19 before hitting Sydney and Brisbane. Tickets are available from the usual outlets.
