If the success of Melbourne prog-metal band Twelve Foot Ninja’s music video campaign, smashing the previous record set by Eskimo Joe in February this year, has taught us anything – it’s that crowdfunding is here to stay.

Whether it’s as simple as a band recording a new album, raising funds for musicians to head overseas to tour, or simply a great music-related initiative, the likes of KickstarterPoziblePledgeZoshpit, and IndieGoGo are realising the previously lofty goals of artists the world over.

Slash Wants You To Be A Part Of The Movie Scoring Process

So in case you missed it, Slash is directing and producing a horror movie, and while he’s more than capable of doing that part all by his lonesome, he wants our help to score the thing!

The score was written and co-produced by Slash and Nicholas O’Toole and will include a total of 32 tracks – one track titled “Nothing Left To Fear”, featuring Myles Kennedy on vocals.

Detailing what’s up for grabs, Slash says “Anyone who pledges will not only have access to behind the scenes interviews, early looks at soundtrack art, and exclusive signed items, but you will also have access to a live chat where I’ll answer some of your questions about the film, the score, and everything that’s been happening along the way. As a bonus, we’re going to give you one song from the soundtrack as soon as you pledge.”

Help Sleep Parade Tour

Having just released their album Inside/Out   the Melbourne indie duo are hoping to embark on a tour but need some help from fans.

As they detail they’ve  “toured the country extensively throughout the past six years, including national album tours with Cog, The Butterfly Effect, Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus and Porcupine Tree.

“The main reason that we are asking for your help through the Pozible campaign is that we have been given the amazing opportunity of touring the nation with Dead Letter Circus on their “The Catalyst Fire” album run during August and September.”

Unable to cover the touring costs themselves, it’s up to music lovers to lend a hand.

Up for grabs for those who pledge, is everything from a digital download to a songwriting/producing workshop from the band!
