It’s been three long years since The John Steel Singers, had made any noise on the music scene, but now the Brisbane quintet are back with confirmation of a brand new sophomore album release in 2013. Coinciding with the release of their new track ‘State Of Unrest‘, the group have announced a handful of East Coast shows for September, along with their appearance at Brisbane’s BIGSOUND industry conference. Triple J Unearthed winners Baptism Of Uzi will join The John Steel family in Sydney and Melbourne, and rounding out the bill in Sydney is local four-piece The Fabergettes and swag-rock co-op Dirt Farmer in Melbourne. Don’t miss the return of The John Steel Singers with some old favourites and brand new material from the forthcoming follow-up to their 2010 debut Tangalooma.

This September, alt-pop meistro Andy Bull will hit the East Coast of Australia for his ‘Baby I Am Nobody Now’ Tour. A regular of Australian radio, as well as the buzz of the international blogosphere, Andy Bull’s upcoming lives shows will preview tracks from his forthcoming album, including his latest single ‘Baby I Am Nobody Now‘, his follow-on single from the popular ‘Keep On Running’ track. Bull will be playing shows across the East Coast this October.

Tiny Ruins Australian Tour 2013


With their latest album, Brightly Painted One, in the can and due for release through Spunk in November, Tiny Ruins is returning to Australia for a series of headline shows this September as well as opening for Calexico on their national Australian Tour. The project of New Zealand musician and songwriter Hollie Fullbrook, Tiny Ruins will head to Australia playing live as a three-piece to provide the intimacy and unique warmth of Tiny Ruins on record.

The Delta Riggs Australian Tour 2013 Adds Dates

Melbourne rockers The Delta Riggs are ready to embark on their America Single Tour, playing already announced dates across the East Coast. Now the band are happy to announce additional shows in Wollongong and Bondi by popular demand. Prior to embarking on their tour, the band will also make a special appearance in Sydney next Wednesday, August 28 at The Rolling Stone Live Lodge before The America Single Tour traverses the east coast in September/October. As well as opening band The Walking Who, opening slots will come from local openers The Mountains (all NSW Shows except Bondi & Thredbo), Little Odessa (all QLD Shows except Bigsound) and Palace of the King (all VIC Shows).

The BellRays Australian Tour 2013 Adds WA Date


Headed to Australia to headline this November’s CherryFest 2013 (which today added a ream of new local and international bands to the lineup), The BellRays have announced that they’ve added a show in Western Australia to complement their Melbourne appearance and already announced Sydney show at the Annandale Hotel. Playing at Fly By Night, the band will check into Fremantle on their latest visit to Australia after a short stop visit in June this year off the back of their latest album Black Lightning! The Dames Australian Tour 2013


With their debut self-titled album completed, mixed by acclaimed UK post-punk icon and 90s film funk music connoisseur Barry Adamson, the Dames are ready to launch their album with a series of launch shows. The trio consists of long-term Dave Graney associate Clare Moore on drums, vocals, and songwriting duties, Acuffs Rose alum Kaye Louise Patterson on keys, songs, and vocals, and Rosie Westbrook on bass and backing vocals. These shows will be among the first chance to catch the new songwriting trio in the live setting.

Recoil V.O.R. Australian Tour 2013


After releasing their second album, Sleep For The Masses, earlier this month, Sydney’s Recoil VOR (Voice Of Rule) are heading out on a tour of the nation to show off their new expansive, polished sound, with their good friends Deprivation as special guests. Formed in the early 2000 around brothers Wade and Evan McKay, on vocals and drums respectively, along with guitarist Matt Martonorana and bassist Adam ‘Adz’ Norbury, Recoil VOR have gained international recognition and support for their metal driving, progressive leaning music-making.
