‘Rita’ is the third instalment of the videos from The Walking Who’s Live at the Mansions Series and also appears on their forthcoming EP ‘Mansions’ out September 10th on ITunes.
“The song ‘Rita’ came about on a summer’s afternoon. I had recently acquired a baby rabbit walking through the backyard. One afternoon Whiskey Bean and I were hanging in the Observatory (an inside semi sealed balcony on the top story of the house; a great home for a rabbit and a rad place to hang) and I started playing the chords to ‘Rita’. Whiskey Bean’s ears pricked up so I knew the idea was worth exploring further. I must have spent 3 hours a day there at least, smoking cigarettes, cruising with Whiskey Bean and staring into space. The fellas came over later that one night to jam for one of our ‘red light sessions’ and ‘Rita’ was written.” – Rohin
