Liam Gallagher the frontman of Oasis has announced plans for a new Oasis record in winter, which will be the first post Noel.

The singer, who has continued to vow to keep the band together following his brother’s walkout at a Paris festival in August, said fans should expect a new album next year.

“I’d like to have a record out by July next year,” he told the News of the World newspaper. “We’ve already done about three songs and they’re f—— sounding amazing.”

“It ain’t a new direction,” he explained. “We’re not making reggae music or rap music. It might have a bit more energy and be fresher. It’s not going to be that different,” he added.

Bassist Andy Bell is expected to play guitar in the new Oasis, along with Gem Archer, with the band on the lookout for a new bass player.
