The Jack Johnson Australian Tour 2013 has added extra shows, with the singer-songwriter heading Down Under for performances in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth this December.

Due to overwhelming demand for tickets to Jack Johnson’s From Here To Now To You Tour, final shows have been added in Sydney and Melbourne.

A third and final performance has been confirmed at Sydney Opera House Forecourt on Thursday December 12, and a second and final show at The Plenary, Melbourne, on Tuesday December 17. Tickets for these two new shows go on sale at 9am Friday October 4.

Back to perform in Australia, a place held dear to his heart, Jack returns in support of his sixth studio album From Here To Now To You. Having sold more than 19 million albums worldwide since his 2001 debut Brushfire Fairytales, Jack Johnson has proven his connection with audiences across the world, and no-where better has this been reflected than in Australia.

Inspired by his Hawaiian Islands Tour last year, the settings for the performances on this tour reflect that inspiration, from the open air of the iconic Opera House Steps and Perth’s beautiful Kings Park, to the intimate seating of the Plenary Theatre in Melbourne and QPAC Concert Hall in Brisbane.

Tickets for all shows go on sale at 9am Tuesday 17th September. My Live Nation members can be among the first to purchase tickets during the exclusive pre-sale beginning at midday, Wednesday 11th September.

With a catalogue boasting four ARIA number ones and multi-platinum album sales, you can expect to hear Jack performing such classics as “Inaudible Melodies”, “Sitting Waiting Wishing”, “Flake”, “Taylor”, and “Times Like These”, along side material from his latest release, From Here To Now To You.

Due for release Friday 13th September on Jack’s own Brushfire Records through Universal Music, the album features Johnson’s longtime recording and touring band members Adam Topol, Merlo Podlewski, and Zach Gill. The album also marks a reunion with producer Mario Caldato, Jr. who produced Johnson’s biggest selling album, In Between Dreams, and good friend and fellow musician Ben Harper who lends his talents of vocals and Weisenbborn slide guitar for a song.

Jack Johnson and his band will kick off their world tour this September with sold out dates across Europe, the UK and the US before heading to Australia this December.

Joining Jack Johnson on tour as supports will be Oahu-based musician friends Paula Fuga and John Cruz. The perfect compliment to the shows, Fuga’s singing has been described as modern Hawaiian soul, while Cruz’s “Island Style” has long been a staple of contemporary Hawaiian music.

As with all of his tours since 2008, Jack Johnson will donate 100% of his tour profits to charity. There will also be a number of Green initiatives implemented in the venues and on the road including composting, recycling and food donations.
