World’s End Press Album Launch Shows have been announced.
With a date now set for the Melbourne dance rockers self-titled album, released via Liberation Music in just one week on 4th October, World’s End Press have announced a series of live dates to launch their debut full-length.
Clocking in at just over an hour, the album is expansive, ambitious and darkly anthemic, the kind of debut only a band who have gotten to know each other inside out could make. Intimate ballads nestle between uplifting house driven bangers; glassy-eyed 5am club excursions push up against elegant pop songs.
Produced by Tim Goldsworthy (Massive Attack, The Rapture, Hercules & Love Affair) and mixed by Bruno Ellingham (Spiritualised, New Order), the self-titled album perfectly captures not only the band’s live dynamism, but also the freewheeling, impulsive adventures of a band let loose in the studio of their dreams.
It’s been a busy year for the band. In June, they headed to the US to play shows with Cut Copy. During July and August, they performed a swathe of headline shows in Australia.
Just weeks ago, the band impressed with their latest single ‘Reformation Age’ for Triple J’s Like A Version, alongside their stellar cover of Tame Impala’s ‘Elephant’, transforming the psychedlic prog-blues stomper into a kinky, dancefloor-baiting electrojam.
The band will perform a select series of shows in November and December including festival appearances at the Meredith Music Festival and Brisbane’s Valley Fiesta.
Having toured with Hot Chip, Primal Scream, and Bloc Party, World’s End Press are renowned for their incendiary live performances. With their debut album finally released, these shows are bound to be a real celebration.
