The London Grammar Australian Tour 2014 has been announced, and with the hype-worthy London trio headed to Australia for the Falls Festival this New Year’s, the lush electronic-touting group will be playing two special headline shows this January.

They captured hearts with the release of debut single ‘Hey Now’ and cast a soulful swoon over the masses with slow-burning follow ups ‘Wasting My Young Years’ and ‘Strong’. Now, following up their popular EP Wasting My Young Years with the highly anticipated debut album, If You Wait this September, called an “intimate and emotional experience,” by our Tone Deaf reviewer, London Grammar will hit the stage in Melbourne and Sydney to complement their appearance at Falls Festival.

Already, their live show is described as stunning by various international critics. Ever since selling out their very first show (London’s Electrowerkz) in March this year, London Grammar’s live show has been buzzed and blogged about across the globe.

Fast forward a mere six months, and they now count Glastonbury, Bestival and the xx’s self-curated Night + Day amongst the festivals they have courted. Now, with a hefty 58 shows locked in across the globe (including an already sold out 10-date UK tour), London Grammar’s live prowess is set to reach new heights, new continents and adoring new ears.

Upon release of their debut work If You Wait, London Grammar entered the ARIA charts at #2, and continued to hold Top 5 in the week to follow; proving one of Australia’s most loved breakout acts of the year. The rest of the world were to follow, reaching #2 in their native UK and Scotland.

In an interview with Tone Deaf back in August, the trio noted their excitement at touring their debut album internationally, including Australia, “which we’re very excited about – most excited about really, because we’ve never been there … And just pray people like the album basically!”
