Two of the most genuine blokes getting around Melbourne, UDAYS TIGER have just finished putting the final touches on a brand new video for the single, (I need a) Summertime Hit.

Pulled from their second EP, Dead Attention, released in the middle of the year, the clip sees the band returning to the DIY formula behind their previous videos. It was shot in one afternoon requiring no camera operator – just a van driver, a large bowl of pasta, a couple of bottles of wine and two cigars. This is a video that has all the ingredients for serious carsickness and other minor injuries – however, unscathed, the band assures us that had anything gone wrong, they’d been saving all the money they get from gigs to placate any disgruntled members of the public or cover medical expenses – $122 to be exact.

The single has already received a lot of praise and attention from media throughout the country and has even got the nod of Richard Kingsmill. This new video, like the rock duo, has its inherent limitations, but there’s something fresher and more unique that results. Dead Attention is out through Thornbury Records as a 12inch vinyl and digital copies are available online through all the usual places.

UDAYS TIGER play at THE PUBLIC BAR on Friday October 4th with GAY PARIS (SYD) and My Echo
